Introduction

 ZCU 30 is the one of the fastest locomotives of Pakistan railways .

It's top speed is 150 KMPH . But due to bad structure of Pakistan , it is still running on speed of 130 KMPH.

Its power is about 3000 HP . But according to a report of book Ziang , this LOCOMOTIVE has power of 2800 HP 

The abbreviation of  ZCU  is Ziang Chinese Universal . Ziang is the Chinese company which manufactures the locomotives . 

Abbreviation concepts .

According to some people or websites , the abbreviation of ZCU  is ZIANG CATERPILLAR UNIVERSAL . 

This abbreviation is also right because the Engine technology of this LOCOMOTIVE is Caterpillar . So it can be said that both abbreviation are right . 

Serial Numbers 

The serial number are divided in two Divisions . The first division is imported from number 6301 - 6329 . These 29 locomotives were imported . 

The 2nd division was from 6351 - 6355 . This division was consists of 5 locomotive . These locomotives were Assembled in Pakistan in Risalpur factory . 

Reason to import

These locomotives were imported in 2014 . Before this time Pakistan railways was destroyed badly in Zardari's government . When Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique took the charge as railways minister , He closed more than 34 trains , because of Lack of locomotives . 

Now there was a need of a king LOCOMOTIVE , and ZCU 30 was only a LOCOMOTIVE that fills the gap that was lost by pakistan but to some extent . After that many locomotives were imported  like ZCU 20 , GEU 40 , GEU 20 .
